Looking back over the past 6 weeks

These past 6 weeks have filled my life with so much joy. They have been EXHAUSTING, overwhelming at times, amazing, wonderful, beautiful, noisy, remarkable, last but not least.... the biggest blessing!

We were able to do so many things.... Karter accomplished walking... YAY!!! Here are some pictures just to kind of recap what all went on.

Getting Even....

We are really enjoying our last days at home :) Karter likes to push Heidi around the house in the baby stroller... I have really began to notice how much he really loves his Sissy. He is wanting to be around her more and more and play with her and with whatever she is playing with. Heidi is constantly including him in everything she does... whether it's going to the playroom to play all the way to just going with her while she goes to the bathroom. It is really making me "see" how much fun it's going to be to watch Karter and Sophie grow together and be so close. I am beginning to see the "light" *haha*!

This video is so funny to me. Karter kept "wrestling" Heidi... I eventually HAD to get it on video. He thought it was funny of course.

I know this is a short blog, but I am tired... really really tired! I very much enjoy what I have been blessed to be able to do the past 6 weeks, but it is exhausting. If Sophie doesn't have a bottle b/w 9 and 10 pm then I can count on her waking up twice at night. Last night she went to sleep about 7ish... so of course come midnight she is hungry! So I got up and fed her and she went back to sleep pretty fast... within 40 minutes I would say. So being midnight... hello she's hungry in 4 more hours.... so she woke up again at 4... and so my morning began! There's no going back to sleep after that. Finally got her back to sleep aout 5:15ish and wouldn't you know Karter woke up at that time and he meant he was not going back to sleep! I was sooooo tired. I took him to our bed to try to get him to sleep (Kyle has to leave at 5:45 every morning... so it's just me :) and it'll be just me to get us all ready come Monday morning.... OH BOY!) of course putting him in the bed woke up Heidi and I begged them to play... they would play for a few minutes, then Karter would need something... play some more... and so the story goes. Finally Sophie woke back up about 8:20 and I got on up!! Completely and utterly exhausted. That's what I am going to miss about being at home... just being able to "be lazy" (if you would call it that) and stay in our pjs because we are tired... but instead I'm going to have to figure out how to get us all ready and Sophie fed, etc... and be at work at 7:45. I know I can do it... it's just figuring out the best way to make it happen :) I am sure Monday nights blog (if I get to do one) will be interesting!

Days are numbered

This picture was actually taken one day last week. Out of no where Karter fell asleep in his high chair.

Sweet Sophie finally likes her bouncy seat.

Well my days are finally numbered! I dread Monday so very badly. I mostly dread finding our new routine and figuring everything out AGAIN! My days are closing in to where I'm not the one that sees my babies 8 hours during the day.... someone else gets the joy of that. I couldn't think of a better daycare for my kids to be in though. I love Kids World! They put up with me *hehe* I'm the mom that goes by there on my lunch breaks to sit with my baby... and calls several times a week.

Okay my dad got the coolest thing for his bike. It's a seat that actually goes in front of the rider so the child can see what's going on.

Karter wasn't sure about it at first.

Sophie girl! She actually fell asleep in her boppy twice yesterday! It's like she just wanted to be in the living room with us. I would lay her in her bed and she'd "call" me in there within 10 or 15 minutes... put her in the boppy and she's out.

This was yesterday morning. They both conked out on me! It was a nice feeling. I was able to rock them both for a long time.... something that rarely happens! We're still most always doing that... while ones almost asleep, the other one wakes up... as we speak Kyle is actually on the couch with Karter. It's like he and Soph communicate and say "OK you do it first and in a few minutes I'll do it" haha!

This afternoon we took them outside to do chalk painting. Mimi bought this kit and the kids love to do it. They really had a good time. Of course they both started out with clothes and ended up.... well you'll see :)

Kyle painted a "K" on his chest

They actually play really well together a lot of the time

My K man got tired!

Kyle's artwork

Heidi had fun last night! She went to the OMS Cheerleader swimming party. I wish I had some pictures from that... but she went with Amanda.

Troy Weekend

We had a very good weekend. Saturday we went to Troy to "move" Tyler in his apartment. Reality is really setting in that he is 18 and moving! Although it is only Troy, it's still so close but yet so far too.

I think Tyler is excited to be independent. Boy does he have a lot to learn :)

(Nothing like a sleeping baby in your arms)

This was on the way to Ruby Tuesday in Troy.

Heidi is not real happy about KyKy moving away and her not being able to see him as often. It is going to be a big adjustment for her.

Sweet Soph

Babee and Sophie

When we got home from Troy the kiddos wanted to get in their little pool.

I like this picture.... it looks like they were about to race.

It's funny.... this was actually taken in the bathroom while I was getting ready. The blow dryer put her to sleep. As soon as I turned it off.... she woke up!

After church

My sweet girls

This was Sunday night after we all were winding down..... I thought it was too funny how she had her leg thrown up on the couch :)! She was sound asleep!

We got bad news yesterday..... Princess died :( we are pretty sure the heat got to her. I was afraid to tell Heidi, but she actually took it well and really wasn't sad at all. Papa came over last night (Kyle had to work late) and buried her beside the bird that they buried a few weeks ago. I guess we have a pet cemetery going!

Trouble uploading

I have been trying to upload pictures for a blog for 2 days now and it won't let me.... I'll keep trying.
