It's Monday Already!!!

Well it's Monday again.... back at it!!

Although it was a rainy weekend, we still had a good one. Got a lot accomplished!!

Tyler came home Thursday night and is here a week because of Spring Break. Of course Heidi thinks when he is home that she lives with him!!

Thursday night we went to the funeral home and then Heidi stayed with KyKy and Babee. Tyler always sends me pictures of what they are doing.... I love it :)!!

They cut and washed the barbies hair *haha*!! AND he took her to Hardees the next morning :)!

Oscar actually slept with her all night!

Tyler picked the kiddos up from school Friday.... and then Friday night we went to our friends, The McCords, for dinner. This was on the way there :)!

This is one of their triplets, Caleb.

That's their daughter, Kylea playing with Heidi. Kyle loved the ABC mat *L*!

Oops... Micah is cut off some, but that's him on the left and of course Caleb again.

And last but not least.... Irelyn.

Heidi of course had to stay with Kyky at Papa & Nana's Friday night. So Saturday morning we were up bright and early and Karter went outside and helped his daddy clean the shop while Soph stayed inside with me. I was able to get all the washing done and clean out the oh so messy pantry/closet/storage thing in the kitchen *L*!

Karter just had to get in the walker :)

Now Sophie's turn!!

Sophie was VERY clingy Saturday... wouldn't let me out of her sight. Then she got super cranky that afternoon and stayed that way all evening. Maybe she's teething? I can't feel any teeth, but I don't know what else to "blame" it on.

HAHA I gave Kyle that Avalanche YEARS ago.... and he won't throw it away although it hasn't worked since the 2nd month I gave it to him *L*! Karter had to dig it out and show Josh.

Heidi bug got to get in the attic at Papa and Nana's. Made me a little nervous looking at this picture..... BUT that's just a mom thing :)!

Saturday evening we went to Andalusia and ate at the Mexican Restaurant and then went to my Uncle Victor and Aunt Kathy's.

Lauri, Frazier, Sophie, and Nana

Sophie sure did enjoy her some re-fried beans *L*!

Heidi playing at their house

They love to climb up the stairs and slide down....

Sunday we hung out for a while and then Heidi, Tyler, Mama, and I rode over to JC Penney before church that night.

Kyle and the two babies napped while we were gone :)

Poor Sophie looks scared to death here!!

This was before going back to church. She was having a fit to get in the stroller. So I buckled her in and she went for a ride!!

Yes, Heidi had to change sweaters *L*! this is her all time favorite sweater.

My handsome little man!

I have nursery at 5:00.... so I always take my camera.... Sophie kept loosing her pants :( So I finally just took them off for her.

Last night we ate at Kyle's moms and of course Heidi put in to stay with Babee and Kyky. So he is taking her to Burger King this morning and then to Preschool.
I have to tell you.... Heidi caught me off guard last night at Kyle's parents house. We were talking and all of a sudden Heidi said "If you want to kill us, just give us away. We can go to Papas, Memes, or Babee.... she don't got nobody"... I looked at Cindy all confused... and then at Heidi and I told her I WOULD NEVER think of doing such a thing and why did she say that... anyway... she thought we were talking about the mom that killed her two kids and she said that's what that mom should have done.

She has a VERY good memory.... and she thinks things through most of the time. Maybe she'll stay like that!!! :)!!!

Well..... HAPPY MONDAY!!

Heaven is For Real

I tell you.... we have wanted to go to church the past I don't know how many Wednesday nights... and the Devil keeps squeezing in our way. With the exception of having to go to the funeral home that one Wednesday a few weeks ago for Kyle's Aunt's Mom, he has had to work late. He didn't get in until 7:40 last night. Sophie was already asleep (in my arms of course *S*) and Karter was asleep by 7:45... I was rocking him too :)!

We were watching Marley and Me and he got so relaxed that he just passed out *haha*!

Anyway.... I wanted to talk about a book that Kyle heard Rick and Bubba talking about. Unfortunately I get absolutely NO pick up where my desk is at work... so I can't listen to them, but here it is:

Heaven Is for Real is the true story of the four-year old son of a small town Nebraska pastor who during emergency surgery slips from consciousness and enters heaven. He survives and begins talking about being able to look down and see the doctor operating and his dad praying in the waiting room. The family didn't know what to believe but soon the evidence was clear.

Colton said he met his miscarried sister, whom no one had told him about, and his great grandfather who died 30 years before Colton was born, then shared impossible-to-know details about each. He describes the horse that only Jesus could ride, about how "reaaally big" God and his chair are, and how the Holy Spirit "shoots down power" from heaven to help us.

Told by the father, but often in Colton's own words, the disarmingly simple message is heaven is a real place, Jesus really loves children, and be ready, there is a coming last battle.

*** www.heavenisforreal.net tells more about the book and has an insert that will send chills up your spine. I'm thinking about purchasing this book. We've read the "90 minutes in Heaven" book... that author actually came to Ino a few years back.

If any of you read it, please share with me how it is.

Evening at Papa & Nanas

These pictures were taken yesterday morning :)!! I turned around and Karter had his Churches cup from the night before and sat by Soph.... super sweet.... and he's got his "cheese" smile down!! haha (below)

My dad got off early yesterday, so he picked the kiddos up. They had a wonderful afternoon!! And then we ate supper over there last night.

Kyle actually got off work before I did :)!! and was able to go to the store for me!! It Helped out a lot!

I think Karter copies Sophie when she is crawling... although he tries to pull it off as him being a "puppy" haha!

Nana and Heidi

"Cheese"

So another experiment last night. We got a mattress from dads that the kids sleep on beside their bed when they stay there.... and put it in our room. They slept for a little while *L*!! Heidi ended up getting in the bed with us... and Karter still woke up twice... so mission..... failed! YIKES!

**It's so funny.... the kids like to play the radio in our room while we are getting ready and everyone dance around..... Heidi and Karter love to dance.... maybe Sophie will too :)!!

Sophie Lynne Colquett- 8 months old

My sweet Soph turned 8 months old on Saturday!!

By the time it hit me that it was her "Birthday", she was super sleepy and was in no mood for pictures.... so I thought I'd just take some Sunday.... I mean what would 1 day hurt... right?

I thought this would be an interesting way to try to do it since she insisted on standing and not sitting.... but that didn't work to well either :)

What all is going on in Sophie's World:

*She is still wearing a size 1-2 Pampers Swaddler
*Drinks 6 oz at a time
*Is on the Parent's Choice Enfamil Lipil AR Formula
*Takes a paci when she is tired
* Most of her 3-6 month pants still fall off of her. I do have a couple size 6-12 month that I'll put on her, and just roll down so she can at least wear them.
*She has gotten to wear she doesn't like to wear her headband and flower/bow :( she pulls it off every time.
*Still wears her pearl bracelet everyday
*Generally has a bottle when she first wakes up, eats oatmeal or cereal for breakfast, have a bottle about an hour and a half later and then for lunch she'll usually only eat 1/2 and 1/2 of a veggie/meat mixed and a fruit. She'll have a bottle about mid afternoon.... and then for supper she almost always eats yogurt and a veggie/meat. She'll usually eat all of the yogurt but only 1/2 of the other.
*Still wears a size 1 shoe... although they sometimes slide right off
*Crawls everywhere..... she has an "odd" crawl. She sticks her right leg out... but I guess whatever you gotta do *L*!
* Love to get a bath
*HATES to get her diaper changed and/or clothes changed

~It is so hard to believe she will be 12 months old in only 4 months. Where did the time go? These past 8 months have been the biggest challenge I have faced thus far as a mom... I realize there are many more to come, but right now in our lives.... they have been the biggest. With Sophie and Karter getting older it does seem to be getting easier and easier. Sunday night when I went to lay her down for the night, she looked so peaceful in my arms... so innocent... reminded me so quickly that she IS a gift from God. I teared up thinking at how much our lives had changed this past year.... and I keep reminding myself how blessed I am to have 3 beautiful, healthy kids.

Sophie has lit up my World in a way that I never expected. She has made me realize how precious the small things in life really are... the unexpected small things. I thank God for her and I often apologize to Him for the way my attitude was about having her. I feel so guilty for feeling the way I did when I found out we were going to have another baby so soon. Although I can't take that back, I can change how I deal with tomorrow.... and I just chose to do the best I can and try to enjoy each moment...... every moment is a gift!
