A Beautiful Southern Tea Party

When our cousin and friend, Natalie, messaged me about what I thought about us having a "little friends" tea party, I ooo'd and aahhh'd over how wonderful I thought the idea was.

She wanted to incorporate "manners" into it and try to teach the girls proper etiquette when it comes to being at the table.  So much work went into it in just a short time, and I think she did a most fabulous job!! We had a WONDERFUL time and I think the girls did too haha!

I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as we enjoyed the party.

The dress Heidi wore was actually one of my dresses that I wore in my aunt and uncles wedding.  She already had the white hat & I just added pearls, tulle, and flowers that my mom had.  Her shoes I picked up at the local good will for $1 and her gloves I ordered from eBay :)!

Kman really wanted to go with us (I think to check out all Heidi's friends haha).

I expected it to be really amazing because Natalie always does a superb job making her ideas a reality, but it really was so much more than I could have imagined.

She did a Alice in Wonderland kind of theme.

I mean really.... how gorgeous?

Each of the girls got stop watches.

They each got little homemade tea bags as well (the green and pink in the folded napkin) & the little fork was for their dolls.

Miss Merrill Ann Culverhouse taught the girls about manners.

Allie, Madelyn, & Heidi
I missed videoing MA talking about her shoes, but the shoes she had on were actually Miss America's.  Miss America signed them and then her parents bought them.  I thought that was really neat.  MA is the reigning Alabama Teen Miss or something like that.  I tried to google it so I wouldn't tell you wrong, but I couldn't find it.
Hannah, Heidi, & Liz Ann

Once it was time to fix their plates, us moms served and then the girls had to sit back down and wait for everyone to finish fixing their plates and sit back down before eating.

Nothing like a Southern Belle!

Beautiful Okiana!

They each had name cards and assigned seats :)!

Even their dolls had little manner books (little book under spoon).
Most of you know our parties are always a hoot.  In the middle of the manners speech, Katie gets up with her hand over her mouth.  I thought for sure she was going to be sick, turns out one of her teeth fell out while eating.  HAHA! Wouldn't you know!
They also had to write a thank you note to anyone they wanted.  My sweet Heidi wrote hers to me :)!

PICTURE TIME!
My friend, Valerie, captured this.... the Mom Paparazzi

They made memories that will last a life time!

MeMe wanted to come check it out.  She loved the idea from the get go! She was looking at Heidi's pocket watch.

So what a wonderful tea party it was!
We even went to eat that evening and Heidi was "teaching" Sophie manners and how to place her napkin in her lap :)!!

Always A Happy Day for US!!!

So the day Kyro comes home is ALWAYS a good day around our house.  Of course I want to make sure everything is neat and tidy :)!! So I spend my day cleaning.  I don't know.... I just like to make him feel as though he can come home and relax... ya know?  Anybody with an offshore husband knows what I mean when I say that they are incredibly tired when they first get home.

He left the heliport about 2ish yesterday afternoon, so he was steadily texting me and I would send him pictures and what nots :)!!

I took the kiddos to the Middle School Pep Rally yesterday afternoon, so I took these while we were there.....

Heidi was looking at the calendar Babee had hanging above her desk.
So I sent him those of the girls and he was like.... where's Karter? So got one of Kman down the  hall.....

Of course a goofy shot :)
Kman had his 2nd Soccer game last night.  Kyle was so sad that he missed it, but I was basically sending him play by plays during it :)!  Karter did SOO good.  I guess they are starting to get the hang of it now.  Last nights game was very good.

Soph loves to play in the dirt on the ball field behind the soccer field.  Well I wouldn't let her last night because I knew we had to leave to get KC when the game was over.  Of course my little Drama Queen got mad at me!  She pouted for about..... ummmm.... 5 seconds and then forgot she was even mad.

The picture I got 5 seconds later...
Karter even got knocked down twice and once his legs flew above his head.  Mom & I were holding our breath that he wouldn't cry, because he does have a tendency to be overly sensitive.  But sure enough.... he got right on back up and kept playing.  I was so proud of him!

As soon as the game was over, we came home.... got quick showers and headed to pick up Kyro!  There is such a rush when you know it is "that time".  I knew he was tired (had been up over 24 hours.... worked his last 12 and then had to wait for his chopper ride out.... so no time for napping unless they get one in on the helicopter) because he wanted me to drive home.

We got home, he changed clothes and I told him we had a movie (Netflix) come in, next thing I knew he was snoozing away.
He felt so bad this morning for going to sleep so soon.  He is always falling asleep pretty fast the first night home, but not usually before the rest of us even settle in.  He kept apologizing for going to sleep and not spending time with us.  Heidi and I were like.... it is okay :)!!!  No need to apologize.

Anyway, his radio in his truck has never worked right.  His mom gave him money for his birthday to order him a new one... so he did just that and by 8:01 AM he was already putting it in.
And Sophie girl was already hard at it.....

My Aunt Jeanna uploaded this picture from Drew's bday bash at the pond.  I LOVE the laughter on their faces so had to share.
Needless to say, we are a family of 5 once again :)!! Let the fun begin while Kyro is home.

1st Soccer Game & Leaders of Tomorrow

Last night was Kman's first soccer game.  He had SO much fun!! I spend most of the time laughing because they are all so cute to me.  He doesn't pay attention much... mostly running while staring at us and waving haha!

Tad was able to come watch Brayden, but since Kayla was still in the hospital, I told her I would take lots of pictures to email to her :)!! So I did just that.

Bless him.  His shirt was a mile too long.  I tried tucking it in before we left the house, but it looked girlie to me..... so I un-tucked it.  Then we got to the game and majority of the boys had theirs tucked in, so I tucked it in again.  (Although it didn't stay in long).

 Pretty girls :)!!!

Time out/ pep talk :)

See how he is smiling so big? He smiles almost the entire time he is running.

Love this picture Yana got on her phone!
See how long his shirt is? His shorts have disappeared LOL!

Soph checking everybody out.

He was so cute.  I was zoomed in on him and could read his lips.  He was telling her, "that's my........." and going down the line with everyone that came to watch.  It was so cute.

And since Sophie can't play soccer yet, she gets bored VERY easy.  So she would rather play in the ball field behind us.

So I would say the 1st game was a huge success.  They had lots of fun and that is really what matters at this point.

Okay, so yesterday was Kick off Yearbook Sales & the students were supposed to dress up as whatever they wanted to be when they grew up.  Heidi of course didn't want to dress up.  Too shy! All of a sudden Monday afternoon she decided she wanted to dress up!  She said she really wanted to be a Vet when she grows up, but wanted to dress up like a Fashion Model.

So here is what we got.... :)....

She was HILARIOUS watching walk into the school in those heels.  Tyler and I laughed our heads off watching her.  (Don't worry... she had extra shoes in her backpack & I am sure it didn't take her long to change them out).
