The Kiddos First Camping Adventure

 The weekend/first party of the week before the 4th we made our 1st camping adventure with the kids.  They had an absolute ball. 

 ... our first day... they were checking everything out....

Soph was very excited about her new baby doll she picked out with Papa for her birthday.

 This will probably gross some of you out, but they were playing with fishing worms.

We went out after church on Sunday and had yummy Boston Butt, fresh peas, tomatoes, deviled eggs (kids favorite), and delicious potato salad.

 ..... and they fished....  A LOT.....

 We all took our bikes, so we made many.... MANY.... loops around the block....

.... and then Babee surprised Sophie with her birthday present.... a new bike :)...

 ..... she was super excited.....

I somehow managed to take this picture of Heidi and KyKy riding across the bridge to the swim area.... all while I was riding a bike with Sophie on the back :)!

She cracks me up.  Growing up she almost always went with us camping.  So when she found out we were going, she was just as excited as we were :)!!

Sweet Oscar.... bless him he is 98 in human years.  He can hardly see or hear, but he still goes camping :)!

 It may be 98 degrees outside, but we're gonna build a fire and roast marshmallows :)!!

 Both days/nights we had friends and family come hang out with us.  That's really what it is all about.  Fun, fellowship, and making memories.

Summer Time Fun! Swimming, Grilling, Hanging Out....

First of all, please remember my sweet friend, Danielle's, family today and every day.  Today marks 1 year since her death.  She was always so vibrant and her smile lit up any room she walked in. 

 Our little family LOVES summer time!  We love "pool hopping" haha!  Or going to the beach, or the lake, or hang out at home and playing on the slip n slide. 

 I knew Sophie could swim because she learned how to the past two years of swimming lessons.  She just felt "safe" with the swimmies on.  Well.... bye bye swimmies.  She loves swimming without them now.

I asked Kyle to put sunscreen on my back and shoulders.... and well you see what he did....

 Kyle's brother had picked up some crawfish and much to my surprise, Kman loved them....

 We even went swimming at our friend Lindsay's house one night :)!!

Sweet Tillman

 The next morning after we went swimming at Lindsay's, she, Amanda, Tillman, & I met and went walk/running. 

We were hanging out at Mama's when the florist pulled up and delivered these beautiful flowers.  Amanda sent them to her just to make her smile :)!! It was a nice surprise.

Plus now y'all.... we are all about some homemade icecream.  We made some delicious peach :)!! Yummy to my tummy!

 We have been talking about getting a camper for a couple years now.  Growing up, I have lots of child hood memories going camping with Mom.  When Kyle and I started dating he even went with us on some of the trips.... so we wanted some of the same fun memories for our children.  Anyway, Mama happened to go to Troy one day last week and passed by this camper.  We all spontaneously (you know I am NOT spontaneous) hopped in the Tahoe to check the camper out.  Next thing we know, we are pulling it back to town. 

The kids were beyond excited :).... this picture tells all....

On Sophie's birthday, you all know she chose to spend the day with Papa.  So while we were over there hanging out a bit, Heidi came out in her Auburn shirt and wanted a picture with her Daddy in his Alabama shirt :).  He looks real happy........

Now there's a smile.... once Heidi had a picture with Daddy, Sophie had to too :)!

That afternoon Amanda came by to see the birthday girl not knowing she wasn't home.  She is so much fun!  Even though Soph wasn't home, she hopped on the bike and rode around the block with Heidi and Kman.

The video is funny to me.  Amanda made Karter nervous before they took off around the block.

A little bit later Kyle fired the grill up so we could celebrate Father's Day on top of Sophie's birthday :)!!

Kman was so tired he crashed at the dinner table.

 Friday The Tisdale's rented a big slide for us to all have fun on. 

 .... and then after Sophie's party we went swimming at MeMe's for the day :)!!!
