Zoo Trip, Field Day, Little Friends Swim Party

Okay, so y'all know when we went to Birmingham last week I returned the bird to PetSmart that died.  They have a 14 day return policy if you bring the bird/receipt in.  Obviously none of us have ever returned a dead animal before so Tyler thought he would be funny with this snap..... made me laugh.  Poor birdy.
While we were at Moms appointment Amanda got the kids from school until MeMe could get them.  She took them to get snow cones and sent me these sweet snaps :)....

When I got home MeMe and Karter had started on the cupcakes for Heidi to take to school for her birthday :)!  I'm telling y'all last week was INSANE

She loves to lick the bowl.
This was how I felt about last week....
We went to Birmingham on Wednesday and Thursday I went with Sophie's preschool class to The Montgomery Zoo.

We had a blast!

I thought it was sweet that she was holding Ms. Becky's hand.

 The day was GORGEOUS!

Cutter loves him some Sophie :)!

When we got back from the zoo we met up with Mom and headed to get our nails done for the wedding.

The next morning was HEIDI LEIGH'S BIRTHDAY and Field Day!! (blogpost to come)
Dad & Yana brought Hardee's breakfast over to celebrate :).
Kindergarten's field day is at the school and 1st-4th grade is at the stadium.  Karter's was 30 minutes before Heidi's.  We made it just in time to watch Heidi's first event.  But only by the hair on our chinney chin chin.  We watched it through the fence at the stadium.

After field day we had a Little Friends swimming party.  We haven't gotten all the girls together in a while so it was long over due.  Kman spent the afternoon with Papa while us girls hung out.

We had to go by the grocery store to get some drinks to take.  I didn't see my friend, Meredith, in the parking lot, but she saw us.  Sophie had her swim coverup on inside out so I was changing it before we went in and Meredith sent me this.... made me LOL.... never know who is watching you :).

Hard to believe this pretty girl turned 9.
Her favorite cake is strawberry.  We had plenty left from the cupcakes so I made a cake and we took it to the Little Friends bash... it was great.... they all sang to her and made her day extra special.

Most of the girls took their bikes/scooters, so we let them ride around and a few of us Moms (& Sophie) rode the golf cart.

Thankful for this group of girls!

It was a fun and busy day :)!!  We left the party in time to head home, enjoy a snow cone that Papa and Kman brought over for Heidi's birthday and get ready for Abby's rehearsal.

Moms Scan Results

 Last week was CRAZY!!

That is why the blogs have been absent for well over a week.  So starting yesterday I am trying to catch up :).

On Wednesday of last week we went to Birmingham for Mom's scan.  Her CA125 has been elevated for a while now, so to say we were nervous is an understatement.

We took that picture while we were in Dr. Huh's office waiting :) before we knew the results.

Praise the Lord her scan was good.  There was not any visible cancer.   Unfortunately she has to take Avastin indefinitely and will continue to take treatment every 3 weeks.  We are okay with that :).... she is okay with that.  If that is what it takes to keep the cancer from growing then that is what it takes.  Her CA125 is still elevated.  It was 45.1.  The cancer cells are still there, but the Avastin keeps the tumors from growing.

We were excited about the results, but afraid to be too excited at the same time.  She was cancer free in November and had cancer again by December.  Hopefully by continuing the Avastin we can remain excited :).

I'm not sure if you all have discovered the Dubsmash app, but it is pretty fun.  While we were waiting for my brother, my uncle thought this one was fitting for Mom and the news we received :).....

Thanks to everyone that has been praying for her.  Please continue praying :).

Abby & Justin's Wedding Weekend

It was such a fun (& busy) weekend.  The girls and I were all in Abby and Justin's wedding.

It is so hard to believe that both of my baby girl cousins are now married.  They were both just little and we were all running around swimming in their pool and watching them grow.  Now Jamie has been married for a year and a half and Abby is married and graduating from pharmacy school next week.  I tell ya..... life buzzes by.

The weather this weekend was absolutely perfect.

Friday night Kman hung out with Papa and then MeMe while the girls and I went to rehearsal and the rehearsal dinner.

Aunt Mandy was the stand in bride :)!

They LOVE Hank!

Jamie Leigh had us all crying.  She gave the most beautiful, heartfelt speech to Abby & Justin.

NEVER too big for Mama's lap.
Saturday started off super early.  We had to be at the church at 7 to start getting ready.  Although it was early, it was nice being able to sit around and talk about old times.

The girls stayed with Mom Friday night because they didn't have to be at the church that early, so she brought them up there a little later for me to do their hair :).

The girls looked like little angels.  I didn't get a picture of Sophie's hair right when I finished it.  She was WAY over having her hair done after the first curl *haha*!  Sitting still is not her cup of tea.

The girls with 1 of the ring bearers, Max.

The BEAUTIFUL Bride

It was an absolute honor for the girls and I to share this special day with them.
Hank was the other ring bearer :)!!

We got our nails done the Thursday before the wedding... since Heidi's and mine matched I thought it would be sweet to take a picture of our hands.

Even wild thing cleaned up nicely :)!

Her favorite place to be is on Papa's shoulders.

Me and Mr Handsome at the reception :)
 First Dance....

 Father Daughter Dance...

I am completely in love with this picture!

The cousins :)

Sophie said we needed a group picture :)!

Tyler took this picture of Heidi as we were doing the sparkler send off.  I LOVE IT!!!
Congratulations Abby & Justin on starting your lives together.  I pray that you will put God in the center of your marriage.  It was a beautiful weekend for a beautiful couple! Love you both.
