Camping Fun / July 4th Celebration

We got in from the beach June 28th and turned around and took our camper to the lake the next day.  We camped at the Opp Lake which was nice to be able to come home if we needed to.  Turns out Heidi and I both got the nasty stomach virus so we had to come home. 

When we first got there and were trying to decide which site we wanted, the kids were fighting something terrible.  If they even looked at each other wrong it was a fuss.  Karter and Sophie got to fussing and fighting so bad that I made them sit and hold hands.  Honestly, sometimes that seems to be the best punishment for them.

 There is something about grilling when you're camping.....

 ...... and of course roasting marshmallows and making smores. Even if it is 80 degrees outside.

 Thursday was Mom's birthday.  She wasn't feeling her best, but was able to come sit with us for a little while.  We had pizza and cake :) to celebrate, although she wasn't able to eat any of it.

 Friday we had a fun day at Gantt Lake with friends followed by another night of grilling and hanging out at the campground :).....

 Saturday we had family over to celebrate the 4th and Moms birthday (she was feeling better Praise the Lord).  All week showers had been hit or miss.  First time we have ever gone camping and it rained stormed.

I had walked to the bath house with Kman and we got stuck in a small storm.  It was kind of nice just a few minutes of "us" time :).....

 We had the perfect spot to watch the fireworks.  They were very good this year.  AND very long.

Baby girl didn't make it through the whole show.  She conked out!
