Beach, Spa Party, Feeding Homeless, Mothers Day

Love my little book work :)!!! She sooo did not get that from me LOL!! She was reading on the way to the beach.

Our sweet Tisdale friends were at the beach last week.  Somehow they convinced me into checking Heidi out of school Friday and ride down to where they were staying.  I am so glad we did :)!! I checked with Heidi's teacher a few days before to make sure she wouldn't miss anything.  We had a wonderful time.
They stayed at The Splash Resort (or something like that) in PCB.  The water at the splash part was freezing.  But that didn't stop them from having a good time :).

My little tiny's favorite spot was in the hot tub LOL.
HAHAHA That just reminded me.  We had been swimming in the pool and were headed to do the slides and stuff and on our way, (before we had got in the hot tub) Kman jumped in the hot tub.  I had no time to tell him it was hot.  If I could have had a picture of his face when he shot up out of that water.  It was PRICELESS!!

We then ventured down to the beach.  Unfortunately we didn't stay there long.  The kiddos liked the pool much better.  I liked the pool, but I love the beach and the sun :)!!!

This next picture cracks me up.  Heidi kept getting sand in her bathing suit and was trying to get it out.  We kept telling her it looked like she was peeing LOL!

When we left the beach, we met mom at our favorite burger joint.... Ed's :)!!! It's in DeFuniak and I highly recommend it.  The  best burgers you will ever put in your mouth.
Saturday morning Heidi had her friend, Rylee's, Spa Party :)!! She had so much fun.  Karter stayed back in one of the rooms there playing with the other boys LOL.  Soph was all about being pampered of course.  She loves every minute of having a Big Sister.

This is Heidi and her friend, Isabella, with their chocolate mud masks on:

They even made these cute flip flops :)....

After the party, the girls went to Babee's to play and Kman and I came home and started cooking.  I signed us up to go to Dothan with our Women's class to feed the homeless and I am so thankful we did.

This was the first time I used the pasta part of my huge pot I got for Christmas.  I loved it :)!!
I'm thinking Heidi's gonna get tired pretty quick of Sophie keeping up with her and her friends :).... but I love this picture of Presley and them.
I wasn't planning on taking pictures while we were there.  I didn't want them to think we were there for show.  Tonya, which goes to Ino and comes to the Rescue house once a month to feed them, said, "Please tell me you are going to get some pictures", so that's the only reason I did.  {Commercial break..... please don't judge my grammar LOL.  I know I don't use commas and such correctly }.
Hard to tell, but see Kman with his gloves on covering his face?
Presley gave out the pigs in a blanket, Heidi did the garlic bread, and the babies did rolls.  It was such a wonderful and humbling experience.

After a little while of handing out rolls, Sophie decided she needed to try them.  So she just sat right on down and enjoyed her SEVERAL rolls.

She was embarrassed in this next picture.  Still cracks me up.  We were cleaning up and getting ready to leave, and Christie said, "Do you see what she's doing?".... she was in the cupcakes, licking all the icing off and putting them in the garbage.  Only Sophie!
It also happened to be a sweet little girl, Anya's, 7th birthday :)!!!  I had gotten $10 out of our account Friday to take to the beach in case I needed it.  Well I never did use it and if y'all know me, I don't carry cash generally.  I swipe my debit card everywhere I go now.  Anyway, so I had been thinking earlier Saturday ab that $10 and when Valerie found out it was Anya's birthday, she, Heidi, and Presley headed to the store to get her some gifts.  I knew exactly why I had gotten that money out then.  Not that $10 is even a great amount of money, but $10 at the Dollar Store for a 7 year olds birthday can go along way.  I wasted no time handing Heidi the cash and informing her to spend every dime of it.

It was over before they got back, so we asked Anya's mom if they could stay for a few more minutes.  She was so surprised when she got her gift.
See her brother to the right?? He could not stop smiling for his baby sister.  It was so sweet.
This family truly blessed me.  I am beyond thankful that I signed up to do this and took the kids.  I want them to grow up and appreciate everything they have.  Not that we have riches or anything, but we have food & a roof over our head.  This family did not let the fact that they didn't have anything stop them from smiling.  What an awesome God we serve :)!!!
When we got home, everyone crashed.  Yesterday morning was Mother's Day of course :)!!  As soon as Heidi's eyes popped open, she and Sophie (Kman didn't want to go with them) went to her room and surprised me with goodies :)!!  My mom and Heidi had this sneaky plan to hide gifts LOL.  I was at such a loss for words.  I honestly cried.  So this was a picture of me and my precious blessings after I opened them.
I love this picture.... all of us in our pjs (and no makeup).  Such a real picture :)!!!
We got on up and got ready for church.  We have Muffin's For Mom on  Mother's Day for moms and their preschoolers.  Heidi was too old to go, but me and the babies went.  I had to take a picture of Sophie's plate.  This is seriously all hers.  You can't tell, but the two laying down were eat on too.
After church, we headed to moms to spend the day.  I had to get a picture of me and my sweet munchkins on Mother's Day :)!!  As you know, a picture is hard to take haha.  Or a decent picture.

Sophie has a love thing for ketchup.  She dips everything in ketchup.  She was dipping her butterbeans in it yesterday.
After lunch, we stayed outside the rest of the afternoon/evening.  Mom has a pond by her house and we went to feed the fish.  I had to go back to get my phone to take pictures.

Kman was pulling bark off the tree in this one.....
I love this picture of mom, KyKy, and the girls.  They were checking out the monstrous fish and alligator.
Hard to tell, but see the little thing in the water?  That's the gators head.
We loved feeding bread to the fish and watching them attack it.
Here is the fish.... it is HUGE!!!! And there's only 1 in the pond.  It is crazy how big it is.
We also went on like a 2 hour golf cart ride.  It was so nice and relaxing.  Kman conked out right away.
As usual, our weekend was jammed packed, but lots of fun.  I am so thankful for my mom, step mom, & mother in law :)!!  God truly blessed me with three wonderful women in my lives.

Marilyn Monroe

Okay so I saw that on Facebook a while back and I thought WOW!  How true is that?  Now in Marilyn's really young years, she looked like most of us looked at 16-20.  Or should I say pre-baby.  I mean of course at the time there probably wasn't many of us that were happy with our bodies.  I am saying "us" and "our" because I am pretty sure most women think the same.  We all want the "ideal" figure where nothing jiggles and everything is tucked and "pretty".  But I mean who defines what that is?  Ya know?

I am the World's worst about complaining about my body.  Granted, I try really hard not to ever say anything in front of Heidi.  I do NOT want her to get a complex about herself.  If we could all view ourselves the way we view our children.  She is absolutely perfect and beautiful :)!!   When I read that about Marilyn I immediately was like.... hmmmmm.... hit every nail on the head.  I have had 3 kids and 2 of them were back to back so my body had no time to breathe.  The kids sucked the life out of my boobs.  They have always been small, but now they just sag.  My stomach jiggles with every move.  My thighs touch and jiggle.  When I wave my arms just about knock ya down with their jiggle.  BUT..... with all of that being said, look at what I got in return.  Three beautiful and healthy kids.  I am willing everyday to sacrifice my body for that blessing.  It is just hard to be "okay" with not being able to bounce back into shape or gosh even having the time to try to get back into shape.

We as women would be so  much happier with life if we weren't so hard on our self.  Children or no children.  Unless you are a super model, famous, or just flat out have the time and energy to go to the gym everyday to spend hours getting into shape, then we need to try to be happy with ourselves.  Easier said than done I know!

I mean look at Marilyn.....

Isn't that the look of most women?  Plus let's be honest.  We are more worried about our bodies in the eyes of others.  Right?

Anyway.  We are beautiful.  We are mothers (or don't have to be).  We are God's creation.

Larry the Cable Guy, Bill Engvall, Gantt Fun, Date Night

Y'all our internet was messed up yesterday morning when I wanted to blog, and I forget what was going on Monday morning LOL.  I like to blog in the morning or late at night.  So that's why I am mid week.

Friday night we had the best time.  We went to dinner with some great friends and then went to see Larry the Cable Guy and Bill Engvall.  They were hilarious!!! I was rolling half the time.  Their opening act had me a little concerned because he used a lot of foul language and I'm not one that likes to tolerate that kind of trash.  But thankfully Bill and Larry weren't like that.

This was me and Kayla at Outback :).... it was sooooo windy!
The babies stayed with MeMe and Heidi stayed with Papa & Nana.  MeMe sent me this of the babies loving the buggy at Winn Dixie!
Me and my honey boo waiting for the show to start.

Our seats were awesome!  The only thing was we were on the end, but you could still see them very well.  They did have big screens set up so I watched those mostly since they were right in front of us.

And later I got this...... how stinking sweet is this???? They are such BFFs!!!
Saturday morning we got Heidi Bug and headed to Andalusia to take her to Shelly Kate's slumber party :)!  She had so much fun!! It was at a really nice hotel in Andalusia.  Shelly Kate loves to stay in a hotel, so it was perfect.  They got adjoining rooms and the girls got a king bed and it was set up so cute.  They had planned to swim all day, but it was FREEZING!!  They still had tons of fun though.
After we took her, we went to MeMe's and then we headed to a cute little market they had going downtown.  Got some more Scentsy :)!! Sophie was enjoying smelling them....
Isn't this cute of them playing Twister??? Heidi wants us to get this game now of course :).
They were begging to get in the pool, so while we were all there for the cake we let them swim.  It was short lived as we suspected :).

Of course the babies had to join in on the fun too.

She is an AWESOME big sister :)!!

Hard to see, but Shelly Kate was laying  beside Sophie.  Sophie was copying her every move.  It was so cute.

I had to get a picture of Kyro on his new phone.  He finally crossed over into the Iphone World :)!  He loves it too!! I told him I was jealous of the phone lol.  He is the type if he gets any kind of new electronic, he will know EVERYTHING there is to know about it before long.

Sunday after church we went to Gantt to ride Dad & Yana's boat.  We had so much fun and gosh it brought back soooooo many child hood memories.  Kyle and I both practically grew up at Gantt every summer.  I miss those days.  So care free.  Just stayed out on the pier or boat all day, grilled, watched it rain, just whatever.  I miss it bad.  When we were riding past everything it was so neat to just see how things changed and how the "Mansions" back then have changed and how many newer and bigger houses have gone up.  I really would love to have just a small place up there one day.  No need for anything extravagant for a Lake House.

Karter Man enjoyed it the most.  He smiled the entire time.
The babies and I rode up front.  Made me reminisce.  I used to always sit up front and stretch out.  Of course we hit a wave and the babies and I got wet LOL.  They thought it was the best thing ever.
Kyle snapped this one of Sona and Yana.... I thought it was a great picture.

Kman had to drive of course.

So a very fun Sunday afternoon.  Monday was great too :)!!  That night my sweetie took me on a date.  We went to Cheddar's to eat and then went to the movies and watched Tyler Perry's new movie, Temptation.  I highly recommend both!!!

It was crazy.  Our meal at Cheddar's was $25 and that included an appetizer.  Our bill at the movies.... $36!!! CRAZY!  It was $18 just for the movie and then we both got a drink and a small bag of popcorn.  I almost fell out.

That reminds me... this is sort of off the subject.... Kyle and I were talking about like just weird things that you do... like at the movies, I HAVE to have a cherry coke.  I cannot stand "drinking calories", but I just can't seem to go to the movies without one.  Or like on a plane, I HAVE to have Ginger Ale.  Just funny little quirks.

Anyway, back to the blog hehe!!! I got a Chicken Salad and he got Buffalo Chicken Fingers.  We both loved them.  The salad was GINORMOUS!!!  Reminded me of the old Carolina Chicken Salad from Ruby Tuesdays I always would get.
And awwwww..... us at the theater :)!!! It was just us and another couple.
Yesterday was fabulous too.  I got a WONDERFUL pedicure :)!!! And chose blue polish :)!! I love it too.  Thought my toes needed a little changing up.  Although I did have purple last week, but trying to venture out some from the traditional pinks.  After my pedi I made copies at the school and then my sweet cousin, Abby, came and spent the entire afternoon/evening with us.  We loved it!!  Jamie Leigh even joined us for supper :)!! And MeMe!  I cooked hamburger steak, Velveeta Shells (Kyle's favorite), butter beans, corn, and KC fried some corn bread.  I also did Cream Cheese Squares for dessert :)!!

Check out this tumbling video of the girls.  I kept trying to get one of Sophie because her "normal" roll is basically off the ground.  Like her head barely touches.

Oh goodness and before dinner, Heidi and Sophie gave me, Abby, and Jamie all tattoos :)!!! I love my little stars.

Today is a new day and my ironing pile keeps growing so I need to tackle it :)!  Hope you all have a great one!
