Mama's Cancer Benefit... BBQ plates, Auction, Bands, & A Good Time!

A lot of hard work and love went in to the preparation for My Mom's Benefit this past Saturday.  I am so thankful for everyone that helped make it the success that it was.  It truly is humbling and such an honor to be part of  a wonderful community.  Having the amazing family and friends that we do is just an added blessing and icing on the cake.  Praising God everyday all day for all of His many blessings.

A HUGE thanks to Angus and Stacie for allow this special event to be held at their beautiful barn.  The setting couldn't have been more perfect.

The kids had a blast selling lemonade!

These sweet girls worked hard all day!

Kman and Soph checking out the horses.
... and a million and one kuddos to "the kitchen crew" for their hard work all day.  They made a total of 600 plates......

 The bands were wonderful!
The auction went great!
 The food was delicious!
The weather was perfect!
The fellowship was amazing!

Modeling an auction sign.

Now this guy...... he is with The Cancer Freeze and he sponsors benefits.  He called Thursday and came over Saturday to present Mama with a check. What a blessing he was! God is good all the time.  All the time God is good.

It was a tiring day, but worth it all.  This guy (bless him) snuck a nap in.....

Loved this picture of Babee and Heidi.  Heidi was 4 here :)!!  Just 4 years ago..... wow.....

Mama's other daughter :)!
After the auction, Sophie was playing and fell and hit her head and cut the back of it :(!!
Tired ladies.....

Mama's fight is tough.  The struggle is real.  But as you can tell, she is most definitely not fighting alone.  We are all in this journey with her.  And although some days it is still hard to comprehend that "this" is actually happening and my mother actually has cancer, God has shown us grace and mercy in ways that we never imagined.

Thanks again to everyone that had a part in this.  The ones that organized it, helped, donated, prepared food, etc.  Nothing went unnoticed.  Love you all!

  1. Hi, what a nice day you all had, I wish I could have been there to support your mom. Praying for strength for her as she walks this difficult road!
I came across this today and thought of her (again)....it's coconut water/juice and it's very healthy and is supposed to help off set some of the side effects of chemo. Maybe she'd like to give it a try.
