Baby Peacocks

Guess what my mom got..... BABY PEACOCKS!!

They are so cute and look like little ostriches.  She has been wanting ducks for her pond, but when she heard about these peacocks she decided on them.  Sophie (for whatever reason) has been asking for a peacock for several months now.  Of course we can't get one in town.... for one reason the females are really loud and two I'm not sure our neighbors would like a peacock wondering around.  Maybe one day if we move to the country :).

I got a video of me telling Sophie :)......

When Mom got off work she picked us up and we headed to get them.  It was the coolest place.  The kids loved it.  He had all sorts of animals.
He had lots of birds, but we liked this one because it talked.
I got it talking on video :)....

He decided to give her two baby chicks to go with the peacocks.  He said they will teach the peacocks how to eat.  It has been really neat watching the 5 of them interact.

The peacocks were 1 day old when we got them Monday.
Mr. Davis was so kind to show us around his farm.  He even showed us where his eggs hatch.  It was really neat.  Some of the chicks had just hatched and a couple were trying to come out of the eggs.
When we got home we jumped on the trampoline, looked at the stars, and had a nice evening until the fight on the trampoline broke out (go figure).

They were good once we got in, took showers and settled down.  The girls insisted on a selfie :)...
Yesterday the kids were begging to go check on the peacocks.  So after supper we did just that :).

I'll keep you posted on them as they grow.  We won't know if they are male or female until they get older. The males have prettier feathers and are quieter so we are really hoping for at least one male.

So here's to pretty peacocks....
