RIP Oscar, Little Mermaid, Other Fun Days

A couple weeks ago we said goodbye to our life long pal, Oscar aka Ozzy aka Oz.

Tyler got him when he was 8 and he was part of the family for 15 years.  It was a very sad and heart breaking day.

We decided to be together as a family to help with everyone's emotions and went to get some things for Mom's rentals and to eat.

The girls must have taken this picture on our way to pick up Momma and Tyler....
When we were in Marvin's, Sophie picked up this huge Reese's she wanted us to buy.  I told her no because she didn't eat her supper, so she decided she would just use it as a telephone :).  Her little 5 year old dream would be to have a chocolate phone.  She would be in Heaven.
While we were in Marvin's is when Mom got the call from Dr. Huh confirming that her cancer was in the fluid around her lungs.  It is safe to say it was a bad day for us.  We decided we needed a Dairy Queen fix to help our emotions...... it was soooo good too....
KyKy and the babies on the ride home...
They woke up when we got to Moms, so we hung out for a little bit before heading home....

Even after the news we had to smile.  Sometimes a smile can turn your whole feelings around.
No joke...... on the next couple of days my timehop had Oscar all in it.

Last year he ran away.....
...... thankfully Mom has some great neighbors and they had found him..... he was happy to reunite with the kids :)......
.... and then these were on there.....
..... he was and will always be part of the family.  So many memories with him.

 .... On to happier days......

Heidi loves to sleep and bless her, usually her brother and sister wake her up earlier than she would like.  On this day Karter decided to shoot her with the Nerf gun :)!!  I thought it was hilarious.... Heidi not so much....

The kids and I spend A LOT of time riding Babee's golf cart.
My sweet friend and past co-worker, Denise, asked if she could cook supper for us, Tyler, and Mom one night.  She did a fabulous job and it was so very nice catching up with her.....

We also went to see The Little Mermaid at The Shakespeare Festival a week ago.  It was AMAZING!!!!
Mom wasn't able to go, but thankfully MeMe was able to go in her spot.  We were so glad she was available to go.
Sophie didn't make it too long after intermission....
... and then the next day I found this gem on my phone :)......
Last week Kayla and the kids came over and she decided we needed a DQ ice cream.  It was a nice treat to end the day :)...

  1. I'm so sorry to hear about Oscar. I lost my beloved boy 13 weeks ago. It's heartbreaking. Oscar will be waiting for you all in Heaven and one day you'll be together again.
    I'm thinking of you. ((hugs))
