Beach Vacation 2012

FINALLY!!!! I have worked on this blog for a long long time and it never wants to cooperate.  For once I thought it was going to do okay tonight, but for whatever reason it put all of the latter pictures all in a whack, so I'm just going to leave them that way because putting the puzzle back together would take really long.

Kyle and I have been wanting to take the kids on a family beach vacation.  We wanted to start a tradition :)))!!!  Soooo we did just that before school started.  We stayed at Edge Water in Panama City and had a WONDERFUL time!!

The kiddos and I counted down the days until Daddy got home so we could go :)!  We were all beyond excited.

This was a picture of H & K on the way... can't you just tell their excitement :)??

It is so funny to me how children are always so amazed at hotels or condos.  It's just really amazing to them :)!

Our condo actually had a balcony and a porch on the roof.  That was kind of neat, but with three small kids, it was pretty scary too.

I love this picture.  They were checking out everything down below :)!!
Heidi Leigh of course had to take her Barbies with us.  She could hardly wait to get them out to play.

After we unloaded the car, we decided to go ahead and go eat and go by the Grocery Store.  We ate at Hammerhead Freds and it was sooooo fast and yummy.

Once we got back, we could hardly wait to go down to the pool and walk on the  beach.

Okay.... if you look at the bright light above the hotel, go straight under it and to the right until you see a room with a light, that's actually our place.
So we went to the beach on a Saturday and came home on a Thursday :)!!  On Sunday my mom and brother rode down and we went to Shipwreck Island.  We had sooo much fun at Shipwreck and the weather was beautiful.  We took lots of pictures with an underwater camera.  Just haven't picked the film up from being developed yet.

The girls could hardly wait to go on the balcony when they woke up :)!
They also loved the spiral stairs going to the 2nd floor in our condo.
Was it not gorgeous?

All brushing their teeth getting ready for a fun filled day.
Of course Heidi was playing with her barbies while she patiently waited for us to leave.
Being on the highest floor made us so nervous about the kids.  I think next time we go we will request to not be so high up LOL!
They loved taking turns pressing the buttons on the elevator.
The Colquett 5 at Shipwreck Island :)!!
Baahaaaa OMG Sophie Lynne entertained everyone there I think.  This is a picture of her while we were in the lunch line.  She kept putting her hat over her face and doing all sorts of crazy stuff and the people around us thought she was hilarious?!?!?!
Well.... Kman was only like 1 inch over the line, so we had to pay more for him.  Baby boy is getting big.
Super fun day!!
The girls as we were about to leave Shipwreck.... and then a picture of our sleeping babies :)!!  They couldn't stay awake until we got to the condo.  Funny thing is... we were only like a mile away from Shipwreck LOL!
We got to Shipwreck before they opened and stayed until they closed.  When we left, Tyler rode back with us to swim and play at the condo while mom went shopping.  He took these pictures of Me and H on the roof and somehow worked some magic and turned them into absolutely beautiful photos.

HAHA Kman when he woke up from his nap....
And how about this for a homemade pizza supper???
When  Momma and Tyler left, we just chilled.  We were all so tired :)!!

HAHA This picture cracks me up everytime I see it.  Mostly because I can still hear her scream and see her face.  She somehow managed to get her head stuck between the couches LOL!

The next morning was BEAUTIFUL!  We decided to make it a pool/beach day.

We did start off by having breakfast at this AMAZING place called "Another Broken Egg".  I highly recommend eating there if you ever see one.

Soph is all about getting "her lips on" aka lipstick.

A view of our place from the pool....
After breakfast, we went by one of the many shops to get boogy boards, toys, etc.
They were so proud of their boogy boards :)!

It was seriously like a picture perfect day...

For some reason the swimsuit Heidi wore to Shipwreck rubbed a really bad place on her leg.  The salty beach water irritated it really bad, so we left the beach and headed to the pool.

Not long after hanging out at the pool, they were hungry and ready for lunch :)!  It was so nice to be able to just go up to our place and have a balcony picnic.

That night we decided to ride to Destin.  I had been wanting to go to Rooms To Go for a while now and KC wanted something from Bass Pro.  It was a LONG drive from our place to Destin.... so we said when we go back, we won't do that again.

Anyway while in Destin we decided to eat at Joe's Crab Shack.  We thought that would be a wild and crazy place for the kids, but then they didn't even do all their dancing and stuff like I have always known Joe's to do :(!

Kman slept almost the entire time we were there.

He finally woke up :)

When we woke up Wednesday morning, it was really not pretty outside.  It ended up raining most of the day until late in the afternoon.

So we did what any other Beach Vacationer would do on a rainy day :) went shopping and to Wonder Works.

LOL I had no idea Heidi was taking pictures of herself while I was doing her hair :)!

In all honesty, If you have never been to Wonder Works, to us it is more for older children.  Kyle and I enjoyed it more than the kids did.

This was like a fish game... you were swimming in the ocean with them.

This was neat... you stuck your hand through the hole and it showed you how cold the water was when the Titantic went down.

This was just amazing.... you literally were laying on a bed of nails.

Oh my goodness.... does this obstacle course not look like a ton of fun??  I wish so badly Kyle and I could have done it together.  Instead I talked Heidi into doing it with me.  Well....... she chickened out on me when she got to the top.  SO she went right back down.  It was soooooo much harder than it looks.  I really was afraid I was going to fall with every step I took.

Baahaaaa I even done so much "dangling" that my earring got hung and fell way down the steps that were beneath me, so I had to guide this sweet lady to where Kyle was so she could give him my earring LOL!

Once we left Wonder Works we headed back to the condo and ate lunch and then decided to go to Pier Park to watch a movie and shop a little.

The babies fell asleep on the way and thankfully they slept through most of the movie.  Once they woke up (especially Little Miss) the entire theater knew.  We watched the new Ice Age Movie.... it was so cute.

And then we went shopping.  We tried and tried to find Heidi bug some new shoes :)!! But for some reason her foot is so hard to fit.

Of course we had to go to Heidi's most favorite store, Justice.  And once again they had One Direction playing on the TV... she had to stand there and watch just about the entire thing before we could get her to budge.  She was glued to the TV.

Tuesday was a wonderful morning :)!!  It was also our 8th anniversary :)!!  The kids were in such a good mood, so we just laughed and played and sang songs :)!!

Sadly it was another rainy day.... so we decided to go to Ripley's Believe it or not.  Once again, it was a little "older" for our kiddos.
This was some kind of "buried treasure".... guess that caught the kids eyes.

So then we headed back shopping LOL!!
Sophie Lynne got her some new shiny kicks :)!! She loved them!
The kids were wore out at the end of the day, so it was kind of nice.  Once they went to bed Kyle and I just sat on the balcony and "chillaxed" and talked.  Nice way to end the Anniverary :)!

Well Wednesday was our last "full" day of vacation.  We ate lunch at Pineapple Willy's.

Of course we had to get the kids all tshirts.... and well while we were in there, Kyle and I turned our backs for 1 second and Sophie had pulled the display stand all apart.  "Can't take that kid no where" LOL!
It was actually a pretty day, so after lunch we spent the afternoon at the pool.

These are the pics that get a little out of order, but since I have worked on this post for 3 days, I'm gonna let it be :)!! So sorry!

Heidi wanted to get a hair wrap since her friend, Presley, got one when she was at the beach.  So we promised her she could get one too.
Don't you just love The babies' swimsuits??? I tried to get Heidi one made to match them, but the week before we had to go the lady told me she couldn't do it :(!!
Seriously, this is my all time favorite picture of Kyle and Sophie.  Don't you love it?

After playing in the pool for a while we decided to end our last night with a BANG :)!! We went to Captain Anderson's in hopes for the kiddos to watch boats come in and deep sea fishers.  We didn't get to see any of that, but they still loved it.

Little Tiny has learned early :).... she goes ahead and puts her napkin in her lap haha!
Okay.... soooo this was at the end of our meal.  See that cheesecake beside Sophie?? And her eyes cornered to it?? Well guess what.... a few seconds later.... yep.... she stuck her finger RIGHT in the middle of it!!! OMG!!!  And that was the sample tray... that they just took around to show you what all they had.
So baby girl finally got her one.

And this was Kyro's :)!!
GREAT way to end our first almost week long family vacation.

When we left from dinner we decided to go back to Pier Park and let the kiddos ride rides in Miracle Strip.  I don't do rides that spin.  I get so dizzy... so Kyle did 2 in a row and bless his heart.... he got so nauseous, so I HAD to ride the planes before we left because Sophie had to have an adult with her.  See Kyle and Sophie behind Karter and Heidi?

And then Heidi wanted to do the jumping thing.  She did sooo good.  She was doing all sorts of flips.

Kman watching her.... you can tell by his hair how hot it was.

Well we had 1 ticket left, so Heidi decided she wanted to do the zip line... well guess what??? After she got all suited up and to the top of the fort thing she chickened out and Kyle and Soph had to go get her :/....

And well Thursday was it.  Sadly we had to go home.  BUT before we left, Little Tiny HAD to get a hair wrap just like Sissy :)

Baahaaa the poor lady was trying her hardest to get it in and Sophie kept playing with the strings LOL!
And before we left PCB, we made one last stop by Another Broken Egg for a delicious breakfast.

We had such a wonderful time.  The kids of course were missing their Grandparents (& so were we LOL), but at the same time they didn't want to get back to "reality".

Now on to save for the next Colquett 5 adventure :)!!!
