Valentine's Day & Family Fun

I have to start with this picture Sophie drew at church of her Daddy.... with Purple Panties she said.  We have laughed and laughed over that picture.  AND I love how each year their view of "us" on paper changes.

When we ate supper at The Messers the other week night... and yes.... our kiddos had baths before going over... hence the pjs....

Heidi drew this on Kyle's truck window.... he does not like "car art"... but I love to try to capture each thing the kids do.
Last week was of course the letter "V"..... so....
Vacuum

Vest

Vise (sp?) Grips... and yes that was all Kyle!!
I love how Soph watches Heidi's every move in that video :)!
Sophie had dressed her self and was so happy.  She asked me to take a picture of her "peacing"... so wah-lah!

I was extremely proud of Kmans coloring sheet.  His coloring has come a long way since the start of preschool.
These next few were last Wednesday when we took Mom to the Oncologist.  Kyle was steadily keeping me posted with he and the kiddos ;)!
Got a free blanket for joining the Disney Movie Club... yet again... lol!

This was that evening at Babee's.... Karter was checking his Daddy all out.

His way of keeping them entertained in the school line :)!
We also got new carpet in our room Wednesday.  We had all the other rooms done last year, but because of how much work goes in to clearing a room out we kept putting our room off.  Finally done :)!

They had so much fun coloring on the concrete...

Hard to see Kmans little fingers sticking out from Kyle's neck, but he told him, "Daddy you can lay on my arm tonight".  It was really sweet to me.
Thursday Kyle, Sophie, and I got busy taking the paper off of crayons so we could make heart shaped ones (per Heidi's request) to take to her friends in her class.

I love making these because of how cool they turn out.  We made them when Heidi was in Kindergarten, and one of her friends still has hers and brought it to school (cool right?)... and her other class mates saw it and put in their request for one.  So that's exactly what we done.

Karter's teachers asked us to just do cards because of how many there are in their class.  Do you know how hard it is to get a 4 year old boy to sit down and write his name 32 times? DIFFICULT!  He was over it by card 5.

While we waited for a batch of crayons to cool we had a little yard surf races going on.  Happy to say Sophie and I spanked their butts a couple times! GIRLS RULE!

By all means Sophie... yes you can.

The girls got pedi certificates and candy and Kman got a new dinosaur and coloring sheets.

 HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

So thankful for this tile Kman made at preschool.
Friday night (Valentine's night) we had my mom, his mom, my step mom, and grandmama over for a steak dinner :)!  We had a nice time of just hanging out.

Saturday we decided to do something fun with the kids.  So we decided to take them to Chuck E Cheese and go to Sams (woo who... haha).  Mom was having a good day Saturday and said she didn't feel like she had cancer :)!! So that helped me to enjoy myself more.

The kids had an absolute BLAST!!!

After Chuck E Cheese, we had to go to the mall to pick up Heidi's ipod.  We took it to finally get the screen repaired.  No mall trip is complete without a ride on the Carousel you know.

Sams buggies are simply.... THE BEST.
We always joke with the kids about "eating supper" at Sams with all the samples.  Sophie most definitely had her fair share.... of anything.

While Kyle still shopped, we rested and watched Ice Age.
Sunday morning we had child care at church and after church we went for lunch at Kyle's moms house.
My handsome son and beautiful daughters after church :)....
I got to hold Ally Anna and she went right to sleep.  Nothing makes you more relaxed than rocking a sleeping newborn.

I had her until Kyle stole her from me.
We left MeMe's and went to moms house before church.  I have gotten used to seeing her every day and was going through withdrawals.  So when Heidi asked to go before church I was right on board.  She has a little old lady that lived in her trailer park that finally went to be with the Lord Sunday.  Sad part is Mom and Tyler found her :(!!  They had checked on her Saturday and was going back to check on her Sunday and found her.  It broke their hearts in a million pieces.  Heidi and I thought they needed a big hug :)!! She knew the sweet lady too, so she was sad.

The kids get attached to everyone that lives in the park.  Y'all have heard me (long time ago) talk about Sophie & Ms. Barbara.  She is the one in the scooter wheel chair that Sophie just adores.  Well Tyler saw Barbara yesterday morning and talked to her, so he sent me a text and I read it to the kids... he said that she said, " She feels like Sophie was a gift from God.  She was so depressed and thought her world had basically ended after having to go to the chair (she was crying while talking he said).  One day Sophie came running up to her talking, smiling, & laughing and it just gave her a big warm feeling and she realized that she still had a life to live.  And how our kids are such a blessing to her and touch her everytime she sees them".  Now that made me want to cry.  Sophie is mean as a snake, but she is sweeter than sweet too.  She loves everybody.  And She LOVES running up to Ms. Barbara.  So anyway... here is the dramatic response I got from Sophie after reading the message....

Babee face timed us to check on Soph after I sent her the videos.  :)!!!
***We don't have an update from the CT Scan yet.  Her doctor did talk to her when she went to pick up paper work.  I wish I had of gone in with her, but she thought she was just running in and running out.  He talked to a specialty doctor in Birmingham to familiarize himself with what we will find out Monday and also consulted another doctor that is retired, but he still goes to for questioning.  He said he himself has only seen 2 cases of this type of ovarian cancer in his entire doctor career.  He is wanting to learn all he can as well.   It blessed us that he cares enough to do that and not just a "hey... how ya doing" kind of thing.

God is good all the time.  All the time God is good.  Still just trusting Him.
