American Girl Weekend

This past weekend my sweet mother in law, the girls, and I loaded up and headed to Atlanta, Georgia to do the American Girl experience for their birthdays.  It is an experience that all little girls should experience at least once.

We stayed here and they were so welcoming.

When you first get there they even check the girls in and make this experience extra special.

The girls had beds for their dolls waiting for them when we got to the room.

 They were so excited!

Once we checked in we headed to the mall.  We did some shopping and ate at The Cheesecake Factory.

Heidi and Sophie took a couple selfies :)....

This one melted my heart.
When we got back to the room that night we waited for a special surprise :-)!  They brought the girls and their dolls sugar cookies and milk.

All ready for bed.
The next morning we headed to breakfast and then to the American Girl store.

Kyle sent us some pictures too :)....
Kman playing with his new legos.

The girls sent them this one back to their boys rule snap :).

Checked out and ready to go.

We bought..... way too much..... so hard not to go crazy in that store.  VERY thankful we don't live close to one *haha*!  While we waited for the dolls' hair appointments we let Sophie do the Carousal.

Loved looking over and seeing MeMe and Heidi cuddled up :).  I got busted trying to get a picture.
Before we knew it we had to head back to get their hair prettified :)....
This would be Sophie's doll, Callie.
Sophie has named her doll Callie since she got her.  When they were signing them in to do their hair, the lady asked her what her name was and Sophie said, "Ariel".  We all looked at each other like.... WWHHAAAA??  Soph just laughed.

Oh and the lady laughed when she plopped Callie on the counter.  She asked Sophie if she held her out the window on the ride there.

 It is amazing the transformation......
The secret is water.  Lots of water and ONLY water and a wire brush.

Heidi's doll, Ellie, didn't look so bad :).

After their hair appointment we did lunch in the food court.  I decided against the A.G. Bistro.  After eating the breakfast we ate, we weren't hungry enough for a $16.50/ea meal.  And they were fine without that part of the experience.

She has a sweet tooth like her Mama.

We each got American Girl Stars for our Pandora bracelet to represent our trip.

Oh geez and we were stopped by a couple of ladies that just HAD to do their hair.  Those clips are just "oh so great... hold up so well.... last forever... yada yada yada".... HAHA
We headed home shortly after that and got home about 7:30.  The girls LOVED getting all their goodies out to play with.  They had lots of people give them cash and a gift certificate to use since they knew it was for their birthdays.

Sophie wanted to get matching swimsuits for her and Callie.

As you can see we had a BLAST!  It was definitely a girly girl weekend.  The guys had just as much fun being home.  They went to Chuck-E-Cheese and did lots of boy stuff.
