BKK Picnic, Last Days of School, Splash Pad

I realized I had left some things off of my post about the end of school.  So I am making up for it with this one :)!!

Karter had a last "HOORAH" before summer with his graduating class.  They went to the lake for a fun picnic.  They walked the trails, put their feet in the water, played on the playground and ate lunch.  He sure is going to miss preschool.

Handsome little guy!
I always write notes on Heidi's napkins that I put in her lunch box.  So... the day before her last day I wrote this one....
That afternoon/evening we had a wonderful time playing outside.......

...... riding Uncle Randy's tractor around the neighbor hood.......

Being outside is our absolute most favorite thing.... the kids race and that night they played "flashlight freeze tag" with their daddy.... just watch the videos :)....

On the last full day of school, I wrote this napkin..... *sniff sniff*....

.... and there she goes..... last time walking in as a 2nd grader.... (well the day before the awards)
That afternoon I went to her class to read them two books.  One about the night before summer and the other about how to not start 3rd grade.  My friend Valerie read them to Presley's class and asked if I wanted to read them to Heidi's :)!

Thumbs up for the end of school and start to summer Soph said :)!!

Mrs. Sasser's last day of school gift.  It was a large cup with crystal light packets in it, a float, chocolate, and a thank you card from me.
I also gave Karter's teachers some chocolate with this on it......
I had a slight frown/breath taking moment when I picked Karter up after his picnic.  His box was completely empty.  It was real.  My baby boy was finished with preschool.

Soph being silly....

I LOVE summer time and staying in our pajamas if we want to, but what I don't like about it is the fact that when summer time comes around it means that Heidi has completely yet another grade.  I still struggle with her getting older.... because that means the other two are getting older as well.

I do LOVE the freeness of summer.  Yesterday we went to the park, splash pad, and Chick-Fil-A with Valerie, Presley, Stella Kayte, and John Matthew.  The Tahoe was jam packed with giggly kids....

These sweet girls were bonded before they even left mine and Valerie's tummies.  They were due only a day apart and are actually 6 days apart.  I really hope they remain friends forever.

I really have no words.  Sophie is one of a kind.  No doubt about it.

John Matthew "driving" these wild girls around.  I told them they were hanging out the sunroof haha.
Before we left we went to feed the ducks and fish....

Yesterday afternoon we hung out with Kayla and the kids and then ate supper there.  Mollie Mae was in the best mood the entire time we were there.....
When we left we went to check on Babee, but she was already in the bed when we got there :(.

Kayla lives on a dirt road, so I usually let the kids sit in my lap and "drive" down it.  Karter did going and Heidi did when we left.  Reminded me so much of my dad letting me drive when I was Heidi's age.

We came home and ended the fun day with some chalk fun.... I told Heidi she is a very good artist...

I hope you all have had a wonderful summer :)!! Please pray for My Mama.  She gets treatment #3 tomorrow.  This past one was super bad, so praying for this one to not be so bad.

Memorial Day Weekend Fun

Sweet red, white, and blue kiddos yesterday at church.  (& Soph was doing 1 of her many "faces"... so her eyes closed in this picture was done purposely for whatever reason).
I saw a quote today that said, "May we never forget our freedom wasn't free"..... I have thought about that all day.  It is so true!!

Karter calls today, "Soldier Day" :)!! I have never been an army wife, but ever since Kyle has worked offshore (the longest I have gone without him home has been 42 days) I have always said I had a whole new respect for army wives.  Especially ones that have a family to keep together.  Bless you is all I know!  Your role in society is just as important as your husbands because YOU are the mold that keeps the family together when your soldier is gone.  It is tough being a single Mom for 3 weeks all the way up to 42 days.... I can only imagine what army families go through.

Thank you to all the men and women who have served our country.  I am thankful to live in a free country.  I am thankful to be able to worship Jesus Christ freely.  I am thankful. Period.  BUT I know that none of that came without a price.  So once again, we solute you..... (I know Kman's using his left hand..... but in the only other picture I got like this Heidi was using her left hand...)
Okay, I wanted to talk about all of that before starting on our weekend.  Friday was just a "hang out at the house" day.  It was our first full day at home for the summer.  We played outside, played with the chickens, played inside, washed clothes, cleaned house, etc.

They even built their first "Cushion Fort" for the summer....
We were planning to spend the day Saturday at MeMe's pool.  Heidi put in right when she found out we were going to stay with MeMe.  We miss her being next door, so any chance they get to stay with her, they practically beg.  Well MeMe and I both should have known that the other two would put in to stay too.  Her sweet self let all 3.  They had a fabulous time.  She even sent me these pictures that night of them swimming in the pool.....

I got there pretty early Saturday morning.  We literally enjoyed the pool ALL DAY!  They would get in and out, but they started at about 8:30 A.M. and I got them out at 8:30 P.M.  You put us in the hot sun and by a pool, we are set.

This still makes me laugh.  We were all outside and Sophie went inside for something.  Well she couldn't get the door to open, so thinking it might be locked she attempted to unlcock it.... and she ended up locking it.  The front and back door were locked, so she was locked IN!!  She was crying and I was laughing.  MeMe was able to walk her through how to unlock the door.  You gotta watch the video....
Sunday morning was an absolutely BEAUTIFUL service at church.  We always acknowledge the service men and women, but Sundays service was much different than usual.  There weren't many dry eyes in the building I don't think.

After church, we came home to eat.  I had put bbq chicken in the crockpot so the house was smelling DIVINE when we got home.  The kids were begging to go to Babee's house, so we went there after lunch and  the kitchen cleaned.   We finally were able to put her pool up.  Heidi was still too water logged to go swimming, but Karter and Sophie got in it for just a few minutes while it was filling up.....
Today we once again hung out at MeMe's.  It was a wonderful day despite the rain and storm that came through.

Before we left, I snapped this picture..... I really like it because of its "realness".....
KyKy surprised us and came over for about an hour and a half before work..... The kiddos loved that.
.... and then Daulton and Hank, Leigh Ann, the girls, her Mom, sister, and her son came over.  The kids loved having them to play with..... and Ally Anna absolutely LOVED the water....

This sweetie actually let me be a baby hog.  When Leigh Ann got out of the pool with her, she wanted back in... so I got in with her :)!! Until the thunder ran us out.  And then she took a good nap in my arms :)... and still woke up with a smile!

This is Kman.  He has become a little fish.  He is all over the place in the pool.  No fear!!

The thunder stopped, so we let Hank and Sophie swim in the rain :)

Crazy Girl
They were entertained by this little balloon....... until it Popped......

... I have no words for this one.....
 .... and a little night swimming :).....
The babies were beyond tired.... while I was outside with Hank and Heidi, they crashed with MeMe and Babee......
I hope all of you had a great Memorial Day too!!!
