First Day of Kindergarten & 3rd Grade

Yesterday was the first day of school for Karter and Heidi. I'd like to say things went well and they did with Heidi.  Karter on the other hand had gotten excited about school, then had kind of talked himself out of being excited about school, and had a rough start to the day.  His stomach hurt, he had to get up too early, I packed his lunch in the wrong lunch box, he fell before getting in the car, just an overall bad start for him.

We finally got it all together and managed to take pictures and head to school.

Getting her hug from Daddy & Sophie

So very thankful Kyle was home for the first day.

I was trying so hard to talk him into holding my hand as we walked to his class.

I helped a 4th grade teacher yesterday morning after we dropped Karter and Heidi off in their classes.  When I was leaving I was pleasantly surprised to find the Kindergarteners getting a tour of the school.

He found his buddy, Brayden, on the play ground :)!!
Kman got out at lunch yesterday.  When we got him, he talked about how "horrible" his day was (although Amanda told me he had a great day).  He was mad because he thought she was making play-dough just for him, he said his arms were tired because he had to walk in the hall with 1 arm behind his back and 1 finger on his mouth.

Heidi went on and on about how great her day was when we got her.  She even had to send out a few snap chats with my phone :).....

Karter was determined he wasn't going back to school this morning.  He was the first one up and the last one to get ready.  He ate his cheese grits as usual and then was stubborn as a mule getting ready.  I snapped this picture of him chilled back as Kyle was tying his shoes.  He looks real thrilled huh?
We managed to make it to school and his big sis was going to walk him to his class to make sure he could find it.

Today is a new day and I am super anxious to hear how it goes.  Praying it will be better and will be a game changer.  Otherwise this just might be a LONG year!
