Starting School Party

Tonight we went to a "Starting School Party" for all of Heidi and her friends. They all had a ball. We are trying to make sure we keep our girls together through the years.... this summer they made a friends beach trip (sad to say we were unable to make it :( ) . We each brought something to the party. We had LOTS of pizza, chips, dip, corn dip, drinks, and cupcakes :)!!! After we ate, we all went outside and let the girls swim.

The picture above I took of Heidi as we were heading to the party.

All of their friends:

Back Row L-R: Gracy (She's going to the 1st grade. She's Liz Ann's sister), Emma (She'll go to Kinston), Presley, Katie, Liz Ann, Abbie Grace.
Seated L-R: Heidi, Sara Catherine (she'll start kindergarten next year, but very much all of their friend), Megan, Madalyn, & Rylee (She'll go to Ozark initially with her mom).

Heidi and Presley:

Heidi Leigh jumping....

Heidi and Presley stuck together pretty tight the entire night.

Front Row L-R: Liz Ann, Katie, Heidi, Rylee, and Abbie Grace

HAHA Principal Jennifer was directing the girls on where to stand and what to do for this next shot *L*!! She cracks us up! She jokes that she can't go more than 30 seconds without bossing someone *haha*! But Hey.... it works for our group. Everybody needs a leader :)!

On the count of 3....... everybody jump in the water.....

HAHA And the funny thing was.... that's Jennifer's daughter, Katie, already in the water *L*!!

I know this is a little blurry, but it really makes Heidi stand out:

Two peas in a pod:

So anyway... we had a wonderful time at the party and can hardly believe that orientation is Monday night and they start the 1st. Where did time go? This is so surreal. I've got to decide what Heidi is going to wear her first day :)!! We have to buy school supplies still. This is Heidi's last week at Kids World. So it's like everything is happening all of a sudden. It's going to be bittersweet and I have to say I am kind of dreading it, but at the same time looking forward to it. No matter what she will always be my first baby girl.... and my love will never change.

  1. You can tell who stays in the pool. Look at that tan. I'm jealous. "L"
