Heidi's 4th Birthday

Wow.... time flies!! Heidi turned 4 May 1st at 11:58am. It is so hard to believe that 4 years has flown by. Heidi was due April 26, 2006. But she decided that she needed to stay in the womb a little longer and made her appearance May 1st. She weighed 8 lbs 6 oz and her birth certificate says 23 inches long, but at her 1 week check up she was 19 inches... so I think the 23 was wrong. She is one of the loves of my life and is very much a Mommy's girl! Here are some pictures of the birthday girl's day!

Her beautiful cake was made by Heather Evans. It went with the "Polka Dot" theme so well! HUGE hit and tasted fantastic.

Her party was at the Opp Park.... a wonderful place to have parties.

Mandy, Jamie, Abby, & Tyler and then Mama.. sleeping Karter, Mandy, and Lindsay

So many of her friends showed up to celebrate with her! It was absolutely wonderful!

Half eatin' cake that later fell in my mom's car... at least it was after the party.

Oki and Presley being silly.

The BIG "4" year old

I thought this was such a good picture of my dad and Grandmama.

This was the main thing that Heidi asked for.... a boy barbie. She was and is so proud of him. Thank you Lindsay!

Party favors
The Hula Hoops go with the "round" "PoLkA dOt" theme! And the candy butterflies were compliments of Nana!

Notice that Princess had to come to the party too. I didn't get a good picture of her with her new "accessories". Princess now has a pink harness, pink "leash", and pink carrier.

Unfortunately, Kyle had to work and ended up missing the party :( He got called into work Saturday morning at 6:30 and we didn't see him until we were cleaning up at the party. I think he made up for it :)

I thought this was a really good picture.

When we got home from the party... we stayed outside because it felt so good... the kiddos enjoyed riding the 4 wheeler with their daddy.

That night we went to Rancho Grande (Mexican Restaurant in Opp) to finish celebrating her birthday. Here's some pictures....

Oh man... they sang Happy Birthday to Heidi and she DID NOT like it!! She got really upset.... more like embarrassed I think. She has already told me that she does not want to go back there when she turns 5 :)!

Outside after we ate.... Karter loves to pretend like he is "driving" the truck.

This picture was at home after they had their bath. Karter loves to go in her room and rake ALL of her movies off of the 2 shelves... his job isn't complete until they are ALL gone!!

So as you can see she had a wonderful birthday and birthday party. Here's some things that is going on with Heidi at the age of 4:

1. Extremely smart and her mind is constantly spinning... she is very inquisitive.
2. She has to come to "big church" on Sunday nights because there isn't a class for 4 year olds.
3. She can fully dress and undress her self... it took her a while to get the hang of pulling a shirt on and off.... but she has it down pat now.
4. She can use a computer very well... sad I know... but she can google and she knows how to pull images and google earth.... amazing!
5. Can color in the lines
6. She talks better and better every week. We are still working on her "f" sound... she still goes to speech twice a week.
7. She does NOT like to wear hair bows. She wi ll wear a rib bon, clip, or head band... but NO bows
8. Every Sunday morning and Sunday night she thinks she needs to wear her "high shoes".
9. She knows all kinds of nursery rhymes and songs... her newest one is "Oh My Darling"
10. She still sleeps with us.... I know I know... but sh e says she is going to sleep in her bed when Sophie comes!! We'll see.
11. She is very interested in death and is constantly asking me questions about it
12. She LOVES to fix hair... and is very good at it I might add
13. She is still EXTREMELY bossy....
14. She is a pet lover... she loves dogs, rabbits, h orses, etc... her dad has taught her to not like cats.
15. She has known her left from her right for probably 6 months or longer now.

This time next year I'll be registering her for kindergarten.... I'll end with a picture of her putting on her "makeup" in the car the night before her birthday. She and I went to Shelly Kate's da nce recital... and she had to make sure everything was just right before we went in.
