We went last night and visited Grandaddy Colquett (Kyle's dad's dad... Morgan Colquett). He has liver and pancreatic cancer. He looks awful.... it won't be long..... I think he is ready to go Home! I have never seen anything like it. His body is bright yellow from liver failure. He is so skinny and frail and is already in the fetal position. He was having a very hard time breathing and had no strength to pump his inhaler. Kyle had to actually pump it for him.
He's in a hospital bed in his bedroom.... with no TV!!! He doesn't want a tv in his room...so he stares at the walls all day long... that is when he's awake and focused..
All of these pictures were taken the Tuesday before Sophie was born.... so on June 22, 2010. That means only 8 weeks ago he still looked liked he was "supposed" to look. The cancer took a toll on him FAST! Before these pictures he had only known about the disease a week or so. 
It is so sad to see your loved ones go through something like this and last night you could just see the pain and the hurt in his eyes and his body. As hard as it is, sometimes we have to pray for God to save them from anymore pain and suffering. With no treatment, he is not going to get better. He has lived a wonderful life! It just hurts Kyle so bad to see his Granddaddy like that. He has such wonderful memories of he and his granddad. A plus side to it was that he knew all of our names except Sophie.... which is understandable.... she's the newby :)! 
**So please be in prayer for Mr. Colquett and the family. It's a tough pill to swallow.
